Team building and plogging in Serralunga d'Alba: 105 kg of waste collected

On 27 October, the Vietti and Enrico Serafino teams met in Serralunga d'Alba for a different kind of team-building day: an environmental "Resource Hunt" run with ERICA, a cooperative based in Alba.

Split into four teams, people from the two wineries made their way through the village, solving environmental puzzles and plogging, picking up litter while walking. The result: 105 kg of waste collected and 149 kg of CO2 removed in a single morning. Some waste that was too heavy to carry was reported to ERICA, who will work with the Municipality of Serralunga to have it removed.

The day was also a chance to learn. "We learned new things about waste and its impact on the environment," says Paolo Giacosa. "And I got to know colleagues I had never really had the chance to connect with: that's the most important thing I take home."

For many, it was the first time spending time together outside work. "I've been working at Enrico Serafino for five years, but I had never spent time with Vietti's colleagues outside the work context," says Mara Bellonio. "It was a great opportunity to get to know each other and have fun together."
